PesaPoint ATMs have been launched in Kenya and are offering Financial Institutions access to a wide footprint of service outlets for their customers. The first phase of the project sees the implementation of 120 ATM’s spread widely across Kenya. There are currently over 100 ATMs.  The key objectives of the PesaPoint ATM network is  to provide the following;

• A wide footprint of independently branded ATM’s in convenient locations interconnected to as many Financial Institutions  as possible.
• High quality management and communications structure to ensure maximum possible uptime.
• By maximising the use of one infrastructure for many Financial Institutions, provide economy of scale – particularly in marginal yet important areas hence a reducing and controlling operating costs.
• Reduced expenditure on non-core fixed infrastructure.
• Completely outsourced management of  the infrastructure.
• First-rate Technical Support for the network.
• Competitive per transaction ATM charges to keep fees to cardholders of Financial Institutions affordable.
• Provide an opportunity for the issuing Financial Institution to make a reasonable fee per transaction.
